To say we are grateful to be a part of this community is an UNDERSTATEMENT! When the opportunity to give back to a local school was presented, we knew we had to do it.

We initially thought, “Hey, if we could gather up even just a few things, honestly, everything helps!” We had no idea the outpouring of support that would come through.

We were able to gather over 30 backpacks, a dozen lunch pails, multiple water bottles, boxes of notepads and binders, tons of colouring supplies, calculators, scissors, rulers, pencil cases and even some outdoor play items! We also made sure to grab some key items for the teachers!

To the local businesses who donated — Welland Enterprise, Rose City Chrysler, Welland Honda, Millers Auto Recyclers, Thorold Auto Wreckers, Niagara St. Scotiabank, Delta4Digital, Welland Chevrolet and Agile Technology — we would like to extend the sincerest thank you to all of you.

Each time a donation arrived, we had to take a few minutes and just admire the generosity that overwhelmed our office. We found ourselves speechless.

Thank you to the TiCats for helping with our delivery and for having such a strong focus on giving back to local communities. Johnny Augustine, a 9-year CFL professional and current RB for the Hamilton TiCats, is actually from Welland and was filled with hometown pride as he helped unload our donations.

To our customers who donated, thank you all for taking the time to stop and pick up items amongst your own everyday priorities. We couldn’t have been so successful without you.

Plymouth Public School, thank you for being so welcoming and accommodating! Hearing everyone speak so highly of the deserving children who will benefit from these donations was amazing and so rewarding for our team. We wish everyone a great start to the 2026/2027 school year!

At Welland CARSTAR, we don’t “just fix cars.” We also pride ourselves on our connection to our local community, and sometimes that means stepping outside of the day-to-day business and finding ways we can give back and support each other.

We were truly honoured to be a part of this event.
